Once installed and configured onsite, the Web Assurance Solution will passively monitor key web transactions, chosen by you. After an agreed 7 to 14 day period, e-DBA will produce a report to highlight performance issues, and make recommendations offering immediate value. Seamless Integration The Web Assurance Solution uses Oracle RUEI to collect information on the real world experience of users. RUEI itself employs Network Protocol Analysis (NPA) for data collection. NP A is an advanced technology, which is entirely passive, requiring no application changes or instrumentation. It is just plug-in and go! Application Analysis Once enabled, the e-DBA Web Assurance Solution will track factors such as key transaction performance, and how long it takes a user to search, select and pay for goods or services. With performance broken down by individual web pages, we can quickly identify bottlenecks or constraining pages.
Packaged Application Accelerators Packaged Applications, such as Oracle E-Business Suite, Siebel and PeopleSoft, present challenges in diagnosing performance or spotting functional issues. This is because they are rich in content and have sophisticated infrastructures. As a result, these large ERP applications are too often left unmonitored. The e-DBA Web Assurance Solution allows owners of these applications to take advantage of the Accelerators provided by the Oracle RUEI software to automate user monitoring out of the box. The Accelerators automatically discover application modules when they are running. They can then track real world performance, including Forms applications in older versions of E-Business Suite.
Rich Reporting and SLA Management With a full-featured reporting dashboard, reports can be configured and customised to display single or composite application views. Dashboards can present information in an IT view, or in a view based on business level transactions. SLAs are easily defined according to Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), which can also be separated into IT and business transaction views. With a built in Business Intelligence (BI) facility it is simple to pick out trends, filter and aggregate data, and begin to derive valuable business information from the experience of real users within the system.
