APEX can be used to integrate content from multiple different sites, for example Google Maps, Google Calendar, RSS Feeds, and any exisitng Web Service you can access over HTTP. APEX can provide a front end to your web services, and you can use the power of the Oracle database to provide your own webservice.
You can also expose any number of database features available like Flashback, XMLDB, Row Level Security, Recycle Bin, Advanced Queueing (AQ), Object Types.
